Feedback Comment: DON'T HIRE THIS GUY - EVER! Missed the deadline by 2 days, which is ridiculous for a 1-2 page paper that doesn't even require citations. The work that I finally did get was awful, I couldn't even turn it in - he didn't follow the instructions, didn't address any of the important points in the prompt, tons of spelling and grammar errors.

Project Summary: Genetics essay - short, due tonight by midnight. Many of the articles that you have read deal with the notion of X and Y differences. As you can see there are social definitions of male and female and they are often believed to be two distinct entities. The readings may be presenting a different picture. Chapter Six in Human Heredity, indicates that gender is more of sliding scale. The article Whither the Y, refers to genetic definitions of male and female but in the context of social misconceptions. Rayna Rapps chapters about the impact of amniocentesis, reveal a deeper definition to being the primary care giver. She mentions that the burden to decide to abort lies mostly with the female and even refers to the fathers as FOFs ( fathers of fetuses). Furthermore, both Human Heredity and the chapters in Testing Women, Testing the Fetus, suggest that when chromosomal abnormalities arise, it is often the fault of the female. How much of what we believe is based on stereotype? How does scientific information influence our social behavior? What did you find most interesting or most bewildering about the ideas of gender? How could reproduction via cloning influence our ideas of male and female and the interdependent relationships that are currently accepted as the norm? Use the readings from the last week to construct an essay that addresses some of the questions mentioned above. I'll send you the readings that are referenced in the prompt, no work cited page is required just incorporation of ideas/facts from readings.
