As you read the Army Crew Team case, consider these questions: 1. Drawing on the Hill and Farkas article, what is one process challenge that the Varsity team faces that might explain why it is losing to the Junior Varsity team? Please explain the process challenge and how Coach P. might address it. 2. Apply the model of Group Design (Video Lecture) to the Varsity and Junior Varsity Army crew teams. Specifically, examine each stage of group design as applied to Coach P.’s formation of these teams and consider how he might have addressed all the issues that arise at each of the stages. Lastly, could he have improved group design at any of the stages, and if so, what could he have done?
