In this blog I would like you to first comment on the John Oliver video. Were you aware of how misrepresented science often is in media? Will this knowledge change how you watch/read/listen/share the news? What stuck out to you from this video as shocking/interesting/important? One of the biggest ways science is misrepresented in media is that correlational studies are portrayed as causal designs. So, as the second part of this blog I want you to find a news article or video in which the title implies causal research but when you read the article the research that was actually done was a correlation design.
