Instructions

  1. Read the assigned essays by F.F. Bruce assigned above. These short essays consider Paul’s origins, status in the Roman Empire, his conversion, his Christian life, and relation to the new Christian church.
  2. Navigate to the threaded discussion and respond to the following:
    1. List five distinct observations of interest to you found in your reading of Paul’s background to being a minister of the Gospel. His preparation could be his ethnic, religious, or political background and might include his conversion and early relationship to the rest of the Church.
    2. Your initial post is due by the end of the fourth day of the workshop.
    3. Read and respond to at least two of your classmates’ postings, plus at least one follow-up posting to your instructor (in any thread you choose), by the end of the workshop.
    4. Your postings should also:
      1. Be well developed by providing clear answers or asking integrative questions that evidence of critical thinking.
      2. Add greater depth to the discussion by introducing new ideas or thought provoking questions.
      3. Provide clarification to classmates’ questions and provide insight into the discussion.
