you’ll be solving 10 case-based problems contained within the Week 7 Application Assignment spreadsheet. All problems will be solved using the appropriate statistical function within Microsoft Excel. This assignment corresponds to Quick Guides 53 – 54, located in Excel Statistics: A Quick Guide (pp. 119 – 122). Once you have your mathematical answer, you will provide a brief write-up of your answer in the space provided. For example, let’s say you are asked to determine the mean of a dataset containing 20 observations and one variable called “scores”. Using the AVERAGE function, you determine the mean to be 88.6 out of a possible 100. You might write, “The average score was 88.6 for the 20 participants included in the dataset.” In statistics, it is not only important that you get the correct answer, but you must become comfortable writing up your answers so that they are clearly understood by the readers/audiences.
