Current Event Human Resources Article and Discussion Directions: Select a current event focusing on human resources from a reputable source, industry website, newspaper, magazine, or trade journal. (Blog postings and advertisement sites are not accepted as credible sources.) Current events include any human resources news occurring within the past 6 months. ~Include the title of the article, source, author and publish date at the top of your report. ~Prepare a short summary of the article in your own words; conclude with a paragraph describing your opinion of the current event and how it does or may affect the hospitality industry. Include HR terminology from the textbook and class discussions in your paper. Two pages, double-spaced should suffice for the entire report. ~Prepare a short oral summary of your current event to share with a small group in class. Bring at least 5 copies of the article (not your report) to share with classmates. Missing the discussion or not bringing copies will result in losing points for class participation.
