Instructions: 1. YOU MUST WATCH THE FILM "Anomalisa" and create a response to it 2. Response needs to be approaching a page in length. 3. Response needs to do the following: - Contain a short paragraph in which you make a claim about some idea, theme, or meaning in the film you are responding to. This can be provisional and does not have to be necessarily well thought out. This can be a "here is what I think this film is doing" statement. - As a way of supporting the paragraph, address at least 4 of the following 7 areas discussed in the opening weeks: Political Economy, Camera, Lighting, Sound, Editing, Mise en Scene, and Audience Reception. You can sketch these parts out as a list or notes, if you like. - Ask a question about the film you are writing about. 4. You should avoid: - A summary of the film. I have seen the films, so you do not need to tell the story of the film. - A vague discussion that only minimally refers to the film. Referring to other work. I want these to be your thoughts on the film. DO NOT USE ANY OUTSIDE SOURCES. Here is a link to the movie if you need it
