Write a minimum 500-word essay that summarizes what you learned and includes answers to the following questions: a. What event inspired Picassos Guernica? b. What symbols did Picasso use to refer to the event, and how did he emphasize its horror? 4. Find a contemporary image that depicts or protests war and be sure to include the URL of that image in your paper. By contemporary image, I mean an image from within your lifetime. It can be a painting or sculpture from a museum or gallery, or you may find your image in an online newspaper or news magazine. Describe the image in great detail and provide the source (URL) (such as website, journal, museum or gallery). 5. In a few paragraphs, compare your selection to Guernica by Picasso.
