Gloria Ladson-Billings makes a great point when stating that the debt we have wracked up is so big and complex it might be hard to fathom a plan for payback but that is what I'm asking you to do. Choose a focus. For example: Rectifying the trauma left behind by the sexual assault of Native women.
With your chosen focus in mind, think about the variety of ways that trauma has negatively impacted the groups lives and think about possible solutions for that impacts. Don't just throw money at it. Money can't fix cognitive delays caused by trauma, it can't change cultural bias that stops people from getting hired for jobs; Money alone cannot stop someone from using or from committing suicide.
If you see these things and don't think we should do anything, then argue why.
You must write 500-750 words. Try to write in MEAL (Main Point, Evidence, Analysis, Last thought) format as practice but it is not required.
