The National EMS Management Association (NEMSMA) has identified seven pillars that lead to EMS Officer Competency. The second pillar "EMS Officer Self Attributes" includes the following components: -Work Habits. -Work Attitudes. -Stress Management. -Self Insight. -Learning. Each of these topics has multiple sub-sections that help to shape and define the Pillar. As a leader, I want you to pick what you think are the top 5 most important sub-sections of the 2nd Pillar (this can be any 5, even multiple ones from the same component) then write a 3-5 page paper describing: -Why the 5 sub sections you chose are the most important compared to the other sub-section and why you chose them. -How you feel that you currently perform in those areas of your leadership self-attributes. -What could a leader do to improve those areas if they were weak in the areas that you are strong. -How will you prepare yourself or your leadership team for all of the sub-sections. The RESEARCH PAPER SHOULD BE 3-5 pages (double-spaced, 12 Times Roman font, 1 inch margin on all edges. A minimum of three (3) references must be listed in the reference list of each paper. The writing assignments must follow APA Publication Manual guidelines and be free of typographical, spelling and grammatical errors. Use of critical and creative thinking skills are important. The assignment will consist of a title page, abstract, text (3-5 pages double spaced, unless otherwise noted in the assignment) and reference list. The 3-5 pages of text does not include the title page, abstract or reference list.
