Define the term negligent employee hiring.
Differentiate how this differs from negligent employee retention.
Analyze the key elements of negligent employee hiring and retention within a managed care organization, as related to human resources law.
Determine which administrative policies and procedures are needed to prevent problems with negligent hiring and retention practices that may expose the health care organization to liability issues.
Provide specific examples to support and illustrate your findings.
Support your paper with a minimum of three scholarly resources. In addition to these specified resources, other appropriate scholarly resources, including older articles, may be included.

Assume you are a faculty member preparing for a meeting with college students interested in the field of health care administration. Prepare a PowerPoint presentation based on your understanding of the legal aspects of health care administration as covered in this course. These aspects include:
Tort law, criminal issues, antitrust, and civil procedures in health care delivery,
Corporate health care law and liability,
Information management and patient consent,
Legal reporting, requirements, and responsibilities,
Health care ethics, and
Human resources law and managed care.
In your presentation, be sure to differentiate between the various laws and civil procedures that influence those in this profession. Assess various liability issues that may arise in a health care setting. How can health care human resource professionals minimize the risk of facing a negligent hiring or retention case? Provide specific examples to detail your presentation.
Incorporate appropriate animations, transitions, and graphics as well as speaker notes for each slide. The speaker notes may be comprised of brief paragraphs or bulleted lists.
Support your presentation with at least five scholarly resources. In addition to these specified resources, other appropriate scholarly resources may be included.
