1.Theoretical Models Please select one of the theoretical models from your assigned reading and discuss the impact the model has had on the development and delivery of human services. Describe which model you would describe as most appropriate for your philosophy of human services. Your response must clearly describe the model (historically to present); the theorists associated with the model; provide at least two examples of how the model is used; the impact the model has had on specific populations of focus (i.e., children, youth, women, racial minorities; aging); its relevance and your justification for selecting the model. This assignment should not exceed two pages. Identify the intent of the policy and its current status of implementation; the population of focus; eligibility requirements and the impact on practitioners and consumers. Provide at least two areas of strength and two areas for improvement. This policy should be related to your selected Human Services Organization/agency for reinvention. This assignment should not exceed two pages. Include a minimum of 2 references. 5.Social Policy Research Research a social policy of interest. (Housing Assistance) Conduct research using scholarly resources from the and/or other outside resources. Indicate your position on the policy (for or against). Provide a two-paragraph summary of three resources that supports your position. 6. Cultural Competence Using the assigned readings; your personal and professional experiences prepare a policy or practice related to cultural competence that employees must adhere to. The policy or practice should be clear about the definition of cultural competence; what activities (i.e., training) will be expected to be completed on a routine basis; how it will be evaluated and consequences for violation of the policy. This assignment should not exceed one page. 6.Private versus Public Human Services Discuss the advantages and disadvantages of public vs. private provision of human services. This should focus on the impact on management, finances, accessibility, and reaching the populations in need related to your reinvented human services organization/agency. This assignment should not exceed two pages. 7.Phase 9: Effective Partnerships Using the assigned readings; your personal and professional experiences prepare a policy related to creating effective partnerships. Please prepare a list of three partnerships that would be essential to the effective functioning or your reinvented human services organization/agency.
