In your own words, identify the "goal" of supply chain management utilizing the supply chain drivers (from Chapter 1). 2. Discuss the "Tao" in the supply chain, and include the related concepts of efficiency, responsiveness, and the "bullwhip effect" (Chapter 6) in your discussion. 3. Explain the importance of data, information, and collaboration in evolving supply chain strategy. 4. Explain the power behind simple data connections and how they contribute to visibility and continuous improvement across the supply chain. 5. Briefly summarize your major "takeaways" in a final summary paragraph. Assignment 2 answered should be typed on a word document: - Please open the attached article titled 'Performance Incentives' 1. Briefly describe in your own words, the Theory of Constraints, including its purpose and relevance in supply chain management. 2. Review Exhibit 6.2, Flow of Work and Inventory through a Factory. Summarize in your own words what is occurring in this model as it relates to a supply chain environment. Utilize the terms constraint (bottleneck), buffer, and bullwhip effect in your analysis. 3. Briefly discuss the benefits of a synchronized supply chain in addressing the issues caused by constraints, the bullwhip effect, and buffers.
