This is the instructions and some comment from the doctor. This folder contains readings for synopses. Readings will be articles or book chapters on certain aspects of evolutionary biology. In this folder I will post up to eight readings, and for five of those you will need to write "synopses" of those articles. Links to the synopsis "assignment" will appear after each posted article. The synopses should be well-written, substantive summaries (ca. 1 page typed, single spaced, which is ca. 500 words). Each synopsis must primarily include a summary of the article, plus at least several sentences of your own perspective (eg., something new you learned, or how the article changed your view of biology). Synopses will be submitted via "Safe Assign", so you must make sure the writing is your own (no plagiarizing or copy/pasting). --- OK, thanks for this synopsis. For your next ones, I would urge you to try and provide a summary of the entire article, in your own words, rather than just explaining bits and pieces of the different sections. Moreover, I need you to add some personal perspective to the end. For example ... what did you think about the article? What did you learn that was new? Also in the future, references are not required as part of the synopses. --- I didn't see much (if any) in the way of personal perspective to the end.
