Go to the Website Rotten Tomatoes. 2. Using the search bar, choose a film that takes place in the United States between 1865-1900 (For those in need of inspiration, I will submit a link to at least 50 such films in Modules.) This means you may NOT select a film from the Civil War. Anytime after, up to 1900. 3. Scroll down to the section marked "Critic Reviews for (Your Movie)." Select four reviews--but make sure all of them have a link entitled "Full Review" and go to that. If you do not have a printer and can print your reviews out, save them to favorites or whatever. Your assignment will be a research paper in which you summarize and demonstrate the views of each of your four chosen critics. 1000 words. Adhere to MLA, which by now you should be well aware of, but which we will have a review for. 4. Add a Works Cited page. 5. You need NOT submit or attach the reviews themselves. 6. Submit on Canvas by midnight, July 28. 7. In Modules, starting Tuesday, you will find 1) A link to Rotten Tomatoes; 2) Some suggested films; 3) a sample research paper. MLA review is to follow.
