Final Term Paper

Focus of topic is on "discrimination and organizational culture". To begin tackling this topic provide a working definition of both "discrimination" and "organizational culture" that you will draw upon throughout your paper. Draw on this week's readings for the definitions. What constitutes discrimination in the workplace? In other words, what does it look like? Again you can draw on this week's readings and any other outside sources. You may find as you are developing your paper that you may want to focus on one or two forms of discrimination (e.g., gender, ethnicity). This will be fleshed out as you're outlining the structure of your paper. How prevalent is discrimination in the workplace? Draw on scholarly sources to show how prevalent it occurs. It is at this point that you will examine the impact of the culture within an organization. Pull research/scholarly sources that examine the workplace culture and its impact and/or relationship to discrimination in the workplace. Recall that all arguments/claims posed in your paper must be substantiated. In other words, they must be backed up by scholarly sources. Thus, when you are pulling and reading the sources look for papers/research that share common themes relating to "harassment" and the culture within the workplace, so that you can develop 2 clear arguments you can pose in your paper.
