Instruction
You have to read the article then answer the questions on the review sheet. There is not a right or wrong answer, this worksheet is made to help you review a scholarly article. You answer each question according to your opinion. The first question asks you what type of article you are reading. The second question asks you to identify any unknown vocabulary by writing it down and looking up the definition and putting it in the worksheet. You do this for all unknown vocabulary. The third question asks you to identify the author's point by matching your answer in the first question to the questions in number 3. So if you chose Old View/New View in number 1 then you choose that corresponding choice in 3 and answer the questions under Old View/New View in 3. Number 4 is asking you to give a summary/outline of the article, if the article is long you can summarize the first half, middle half, or last half of the article. Number 5 is simple, you answer all of the questions. By doing this, you learn how to evaluate a scholarly article which you will have to do more than once in your college career.
