Provide at least one example. * Detail some of the artistic (art, music, architecture, dance) contributions of your culture. * Explain some of the values of your culture. Provide at least three examples. * Discuss your culture’s religion(s). Include name and basic belief system of at least one of the major faiths. * Detail some of the sex and gender role differences in your culture (provide at least three examples) * Discuss what we would need to know to acculturate into your culture. (If a past one, what would we need to do for preparing for our time machine to fit in). Provide at least one concrete suggestion. * End with the conclusion.   • Introduction French culture has many different beautiful customs and traditions. This culture has also given a lot to the world and many of our favorite things exist today because of them. The word “culture” even comes from France. When we think of French culture, we think of Paris. However, there is more than just the City of Lights. France has a population of 65 million people. There are many different ethnicities and cultures that can be found in France, also. Most of the people residing in France speak French. However, English and a few other languages are also spoken.

  • History : Just like any other culture, French culture has a very interesting and rich history. Located in Western Europe, France is the third largest European nation, after Russia and Ukraine. In the beginning, France was ruled by royals. Then, during the French Revolution, royal power collapsed and a republic was established. After that, the country was in constant battles and France is currently in their fifth republic which was established in 1959. Important historical figures such as Louis XIV, Napoleon Bonaparte, Voltaire, and Marie Antoinette were all from France. Today, France is a prosperous nation. According to Encyclopedia Britannica, France is “Europe’s most important agricultural producer and one of the world’s leading industrial powers” (Bisson, 2020).

An article about the social roles of men and women from the Institut National de la Statistique says, “Domestic work is still predominantly carried out by women, especially in families with children.
