Instruction
Engineers work on teams. Throughout this course and your time at CU, you'll hear us talking about the engineering community and the unavoidable interconnectedness of our experiences. To work together effectively, it is helpful to have a good understanding of our colleagues and their motivations. Later in the course, you'll work with your classmates to write some community values statements that reflect your shared beliefs and ethos. For now, let's focus on getting to know each of you as individuals. We will read some of these stories in class (anonymously and without recording) so keep that in mind as you write your paragraphs.
Here's your prompt: Describe yourself in one or two paragraphs without referring to gender, physical features, or outside descriptors, but rather focusing on values, attitudes, beliefs, and personality. You may want to touch on some things that helped shape your personality including people and experiences. Try and be open and honest. We will be reading some of these to the class, so try not to give too much away that people already know about you. It is fun and also eye-opening to anonymously learn about your fellow classmates.
