Part-2 Technology in Your Everyday Life
How big a part does technology play in your own life? Unless you have taken stock of it recently, you may be surprised at just how much of your daily activities are connected to the use of some form of technology. For many people, the day starts with a wake-up alarm set on the cell phone, using an electric tooth brush, and grabbing a cup of coffee that was set the night before to automatically grind, drip and stay hot. Perhaps you sip your coffee while reading your email and eating microwaved oatmeal, and then put the dirty dishes in the dishwasher as you get ready to tackle the day. What comes next?
Discussion Topic
For this Discussion, you will document the use of technology to help you perform important tasks that are part of your routine after breakfast. First, make a list of the three (3) most important tasks that you must complete as part of a routine day during the workweek. Then, for each task, name all of the devices that you use to help you complete the tasks, and very briefly describe what the devices do. Explain how you would accomplish that task if the device(s) malfunctioned.
