Instruction
For the purpose of this assignment, you are once again a graduate-level teaching assistant for the freshman-level Public Administration 101 course at a traditional state university. This week’s lecture will be a ‘deep dive’ presentation into one of the major fields of public policy as an in-depth example of the same 45-50 undergraduate students in your course.
Be sure to include the following information in your lecture slides:
Select a major federal-level policy field of your choice (there are many to choose from—ranging from homeland security to public safety to public health to transportation to energy to environmental protection).
Research your policy field and outline the primary organizational, institutional players, and key interest groups.
Identify the present ‘pressing issues of the day’ receiving national-level White House, congressional, media, and/or interest group attention. Of those, what are the major policy proposals being presently worked?
Identify any specialized public sector regulatory functions/standards/metrics that are regularly derived from the contributions of your chosen policy field.
Determine any specific trends, issues/challenges, and opportunities you envision being on the horizon for your chosen field.
Be sure to incorporate appropriate animations/transitions and use attention-catching/keeping graphics and/or applicable photos as well as speaker notes for each content slide. The speaker notes may be comprised of brief paragraphs or bulleted lists (150-250 words per content slide) and should appropriately cite your sources.
Length: 10- slides (excluding title and reference slides)
Speaker Notes Length: 150-words per content slide
References: Include a minimum of five scholarly resources.
