This is a revision and rewrite of the paper attached, with new content, and longer page count requirement, and could serve as a Business Article online or in print. This paper must now includes at least two quotes – (Increasing previous Business Profile 3-page paper to now be 5-pages) Students will revise paper paper attached of the business profile writing assignment to now include at least two direct/original quotes from a person students interview (safely in person, if possible, or via email, call, text or ZOOM/Facetime) who works in the business/industry students plan to enter. You could also interview a professor who prepares students for employment in this field. This will increase the value of the paper for possible publication with original sources and quotes. Students should always be thinking about producing work that goes beyond a classroom assignment. Write it in a way to serve an educational purpose for others to read by making the paper (article) both interesting and informative related to the career you are profiling. It requires students to network with someone in their interested field of study. One of the questions to ask and to include in the answer for this assignment is to ask the person you are interviewing how social media has impacted their career or the profession itself. Use one of the quotes to address this topic. This assignment provides students with firsthand knowledge of a person working in the field they want to enter. In addition, it provides a networking opportunity to speak with someone in that career and a practice in their email communication to schedule interview, hold a professional conversation with them, and write a follow up thank you letter. If you can't understandably interview an individual in person, call them or conduct the interview by sending them questions via email. This assignment serves as a lesson in marketing/PR/News to write a business article.
