Commentary Commentaries (often in the form of op eds or blogs) can be a useful forum for policy discussion as they can be written in plain language and inform reactions to current developments, whereas a peer-reviewed journal take many months or years to be published. You will be required to write a commentary (no more than 800 words)

Date Posted: 14/10/2020
Category: Geography
Due Date: 17/10/2020
Instruction
Provide commentary on a relevant news story or blog entry from another site. Be relevant to the subject of energy and environmental policy. Incorporate concepts from the course materials in a way that demonstrates your grasp of the concept and ability to apply it to current events and debates (including a reference to at least one ENV 350 required reading). Advance a point of view backed by evidence (i.e. it is not simply your opinion) while maintaining a thoughtful and respectful tone. Include references: link to on-line sources and footnote sources not available on line. an example of a commentary https://ecofiscal.ca/2019/09/04/price-isnt-tax/
