Due Date: 28/07/2011
Instruction

A project involving javascript, (continuation). This is the final part to midterm/final project that involves the incorporation of javascript. The way I chose to do this is via a website I am creating. Various details on javascript elements that have been incorporated, and the ones that need to be incorporated for this project can be found out by further contact.

Hey there. Are you still looking for someone to get this done? Please let me know thanks.
$100.00
  • I've seen all the files, i just need to know exactly what you need done.

  • From the checklist I posted, only content in regards to chapters11,15,18, and 19 require implementation, as the rest was already done as part of the preliminary project. the javascript could be put on any of the current webpages, or even create new one(s), whichever you prefer. 130 is over what i can afford though, i can do a max of 100. look forward to hearing from you

  • Oh ok, well I made the bid for $130 thinking i needed to do the entire list. If its just 11,15,18,19 then 100 is fine. I just need to show functionality for those chapters and its fine right? So 11 - something with regular expressions (i'm thinking form validation before submit), 15 - jquery update to a certain field, 18 - Will go with 11, 19 - Reading and writing of cookies via jquery.
    Homework_Nerd | Jul 27, 2011, 23:50 PM
  • correct, you may find a bit of that code already in there, in regards to expressions at least. Feel free to revise and add what you feel fits right with what is already in there. If we both agree on 100$ i can assign this to you immediately. look forward to hearing from you.
    User_982 | Jul 27, 2011, 23:53 PM
  • Hey, i've already changed my bid to $100. So yeah, go right ahead and assign it :) thanks

  • I'll implement jquery so you can have extra credit
    Homework_Nerd | Jul 28, 2011, 00:01 AM
  • How many hours do i have?
    Homework_Nerd | Jul 28, 2011, 00:04 AM
  • awesome, I appreciate it I look forward to the final product!
    User_982 | Jul 28, 2011, 00:04 AM
  • up until 3:00 p.m. pst, so roughly 15 hours. I go to work at 4 p.m., so I need to leave that hour to look over the code and implement it to the class server.
    User_982 | Jul 28, 2011, 00:06 AM
  • Alright, judging from the files you've given...this is what i'll be doing. I'll use the form to submit using jquery, it'll do data validations, and if it goes through validations, it'll write the cart into the cookies. At this point, a jquery UI box will pop up, asking the user to confirm the order to submit. Either that or i'll make a "webcart" in the order page, which is brings up the user's current order which is stored in the cookies
    Homework_Nerd | Jul 28, 2011, 00:11 AM
  • either one sounds great, and a good alternative to generic name reminders etc.
    User_982 | Jul 28, 2011, 00:13 AM
  • Hey navybump. I'm done with the assignment. Took me way longer than expected...coz your code wasn't working and terribly messy to debug. Anyway, i'm done...all the functionalities I added are in the order sample page. I fixed all the links for the rest of your pages as well. I also did email validations using regexp. Let me know if you have any more questions
    Homework_Nerd | Jul 28, 2011, 12:52 PM
  • I appreciate the extra time you have given me to go through it, and apologize at the same time for the malfunctioning code. I have opened both zips which look pretty much identical, is one of them the final version or they are just copies of themselves? Once again, thanks!
    User_982 | Jul 28, 2011, 13:15 PM
  • I really like the shopping cart functionality, especially with the completed order pop up and dispersion. Everything look absolutely outstanding from the client side, I will hop into the code in a bit and see if I can get the gist of what you implemented. As you can tell from my code though, I am no pro, haha. I will award the money now, but could still use feedback on which zip is the final version.
    User_982 | Jul 28, 2011, 13:20 PM
  • Take the bottom one. Please use firefox rather than chrome to run the file. The webcart should show itself after you click submit
    Homework_Nerd | Jul 28, 2011, 13:21 PM
  • Please leave me feedback, thanks :)
    Homework_Nerd | Jul 28, 2011, 13:22 PM
  • I was already leaving you feedback for your outstanding work. I truly wish I could afford to give you a bonus for the extra work you did fixing my code and still making the time constraints. Hopefully I can do business with you again, and in that case, I will due what I can to compensate your kindness!
    User_982 | Jul 28, 2011, 13:24 PM
  • :) Thanks navy

  • Umer, I have uploaded the preliminary project website as well as the guidelines for the project as well. From the checklist I posted, only content in regards to chapters11,15,18, and 19 require implementation, as the rest was already done as part of the preliminary project. Feel free to implement the javascript on any of the current webpages, or even create new one(s), whichever you prefer. If you feel you can complete this assignment, I will award it to you today when I hear back from you. Thanks.
