This assignment will require you to read through this ethics case study (WILL PROVIDE AFTER SELECTING). Then, you will be asked to (1) identify the ethical dilemma and summarize the most relevant facts of the case; (2) identify the most relevant principles and elements from the Society of Professional Journalists' Code of Ethics and note any tensions they present in this case; and (3) argue for what you believe to be the most ethical course of action and identify the potential consequences to its different stakeholders. This assignment draws primarily on the Learning Materials from Week 8. Your scores will depend on the thoroughness and clarity of your descriptions, the thoughtfulness of your arguments, and the effectiveness of the integration of the ideas we've covered in the class and from the SPJ Ethics.
