Instruction
Purpose—What were you supposed to have learned from this lab? What were you trying to do in the lab? 1-2 sentences Observations & Data— You do not need to copy down the procedures from the lab manual, but for your observations you need to place them in context. For example: “It turned red” is not quite enough. “When the indicator was added to the 20 mL of vinegar, the solution turned red” is better. Often times the data/observations will go well in a table or graph. Calculations & Results— Some labs will require some mathematical manipulations. Make sure all of your steps are shown.
