Review your Module 2 Journal entry. Use the language that you selected in that activity for this short paper. Based on the information provided in the Grammar Transfer Issues article or any other information about language transfer that you have researched, predict which components of the first language you selected will have a positive transfer from the first to the second language and which components will have negative transfer (interference) between the two languages. You may consider creating a chart to help organize your thoughts. Predict positive transfer in each of the four areas listed below and include your rationale: Phonology Morphology Syntax Semantics Predict negative transfer or interference in each of the four areas listed below. First include your rationale for your prediction. Then outline effective strategies that you could use with students would need for each area. Phonology Morphology Syntax Semantics Error Analysis: For this analysis, watch the video error analysis. Select two English language learners in the video to analyze. Then outline the errors based on four areas: phonology, morphology, syntax and semantics. Follow the step-by-step guidelines for error analysis. How might you use this error analysis to guide your instruction for the two students?
