Develop a Project Charter using a project charter template for the one of the following examples: Example 1: In the last nine months, 20% of the invoices prepared at the Invoice-R-Us Corporation took longer than 30 days to issue, with a 12-month rolling average of 25 days. The industry standard is said to be 20 days. The 25 days is 50% of current invoices and 50% of DSO (day sales outstanding or average collection period) performance. One DSO is estimated equate to 100,000 USD. In addition, 65% of the top customers are complaining of errors in their invoices. It is estimated that 10% of the invoices contain errors resulting in customer dissatisfaction and contributing to a high DSO metric and an increase in call volume generated for these errors and complaints. The industry DSO average is 15 days. Example 2: Currently, the turnaround time (TAT) at the On-Time Volume Inc, is 48 hours. The company goal for this year is 24 hours. On the other hand, the daily volume coverage is approximately 80%. They are trying to increase the daily volume coverage to 90% in 48 hours to 95% in 24 hours. The estimated soft savings, on account of more than 50% reduction in TAT, are equivalent to 257,000 USD. There is also a contractual issue when the goals are not met. Example 3: Sales have dropped 30% over the last two years and has significantly eroded customer profitability and loyalty. A recent customer satisfaction survey has shown that customers are not pleased with our product, customer support and they also consider our price to be too high. It is required to significantly increase sales in this fiscal year by at least 30% or more. If action is not taken quickly, we will need to significantly reduce headcount and other costs to be a going concern.
