CONTRAST AND COMPARE MALE (in chapter 7) WITH FEMALE (in chapter 8) PRISON CULTURES in no less then 2 pages and no more then 2 & ½ pages. In answering the question consider the following sub-questions: - What beliefs and norms do they come into the prisons with? (“ImportationTheory”) -Are they the same or different for males and females? -Once they are in prison is “Prisonization” the same or do you think they are different for males and females? - Do you think males or females have a higher reoffending (Recidivism) rate because of their treatment in prisons? Criteria: Typed, Font size 12, Times New Roman, Double Spaced, Spell & Grammar Checked, Proofread, indenting of large quotations or ideas of others or the non-indenting of a smaller quotations of their words or ideas. Put the authors name and page # , i.e. (Hanser, p.211) next to the quote or their ideas. In any case you should use mostly your own words in answering the question because it would better demonstrate to me your understanding of the question! THIS ESSAY IS DUE ON NOVEMBER 3
