Instruction
Include a minimum of one properly-cited quote per author, in MLA 8 format, to support the claim of your thesis statement. Remember to introduce the quotation/example with context and fully explain the significance of your evidence.
· Give evidence from the text that would support your answer.
· Follow a basic five-paragraph essay structure (introduction with thesis; body paragraphs with claims related to thesis and supporting evidence, and explanations for how evidence relates to claims; conclusion, explaining the broader significance of claims).
· Meet the length requirement of five well-developed paragraphs. 2-3 pages.
· 12 pt. Times New Roman font, 1" margins (standard in Word), double-spaced, MLA 8 header, numbered pages that include your last name.
. Avoid personal pronouns (such as "I") and announcements ("In this essay...," "This quote shows...," etc.).
Check for fragments and run-ons since we went over them on Tuesday, 11/3.
