Watch the video: “Museum Heist” scene from film, Black Panther (2018)
3. Read the text: Sarah Cascone, “The Museum Heist Scene in ‘Black Panther’ Adds Fuel to the Debate About African Art Restitution,” Artnet, March 5, 2018.
4. Then, read three other essential texts from the Lecture 7 Learning Materials and (independently) research three of the case studies below. In a post of no less than 400 words, articulate the main ethical issues museums are facing apropos restitution and repatriation, and offer your opinion as to whether museums should return looted/stolen objects. Be sure to articulate your ideas in relation to three case studies below.
After you have posted, reply to at least two other posts, each time with a 50-60-word response that does more than simply (i) restate, and/or (ii) agree or disagree. Be sure to relevantly extend the discussion (e.g., supplement their ideas as relates to the course readings, or ask a question).
