Find a business ethics scandal that you would like to discuss. For those who have no ideas, you might consider VW’s diesel gate, Wells Fargo (too many scandals to list), the Blue Bell Ice Cream listeria outbreak or the Theranos fraud. Find some information on the scandal (remembering to include the URLs in your post) and then answer the questions in the post.
1. Do you see evidence of some of the processes described in "Ethical Breakdowns" (one of the articles in your HarvardManageMentor module) in your example? Which ones do you see? What could the company have done to prevent those failures?
2. In many cases of ethical wrongdoing, top level management claims to have been unaware of the unethical activity. If that was true for your case, do you believe those claims? Why or why not? Based on your module of this week, what do you think leadership could have done differently to prevent the events?
