THE WEBSITE YOU WILL USE IS FOR THIS ASSIGNMENT IS: https://career.columbusstate.edu/ The purpose of this project is to apply your knowledge of social media marketing to assist the CSU Center for Experiential Learning and Career Design in identifying problems and identifying solutions that include the use of social media strategy. For this project, you will work to aid the CSU Career Center in identifying issues that could be resolved through the use of social media. You will also develop a social media strategy to help your partner address these issues For this project, you will complete the following tasks: ◦ Identify one major problem facing the Career Center which may be solved (at least in part) by social media marketing. ▪ Be sure that you are providing strong evidence to support why you think this is an underlying problem, and that you are explaining the problem in terms of larger context. Include any constraints (costs, resources, attitudes, etc) that influence this problem ◦ Broadly, address ways in which the Career Center could address this problem (can include non-social media strategies) ◦ Develop two specific one -to-two month long social media campaigns to help solve this problem for the career center. ▪ Your detailed campaign plan should include the following for each campaign: • SMART goal/goals • Theme and message to be communicated • Target market • Platforms to be used • Incentives (if applicable) • A content calendar • Mock-ups of at least 5 posts • Metrics ◦ Be sure that you are supporting and explaining your thinking for each of these points. Example: for the content calendar, why is it an appropriate date/time? Why is this target market appropriate? Why this platform? ◦ Evaluate your two potential campaigns and choose the one that you believe should be implemented first. ▪ Be sure that you are explaining why this is the best solution to solve the specific problem you defined ◦ Detail your best social media solution (the one you think should be implemented first) ▪ Include a content calendar for one-to-two months of posts ▪ Include an action plan outlining all resources and tasks that would need to happen to make your campaign viable. ▪ Deliverables: 1) A typed, essay style paper which includes all elements listed above. 2) A 5-minute video presentation with slides outlining your problem statement and ultimate solution to the stated problem. Details of your strategy and plan should be included in the notes section of your slides so someone may refer back to this plan at any time and be able to understand it. Both deliverables are due uploaded to Cougarview by 10:00pm Dec 2nd Important notes: All portions of this assignment should be evidence-based. Refer to your previous work in this course, your own research, and outside sources to complete this assignment. Use APA style citations and include a citations page. Please label all charts, graphs, images, etc. in APA style. You will be evaluated on the following criteria: - Application of social media in the problem-solving process (as outlined in attached rubric) - Originality of your solutions - Detailed nature of campaign descriptions - Professionalism, readability, and clarity of written and video submissions. - Flow and cohesiveness. Solutions should be solving your stated problem. Metrics should be appropriate for measuring your goals, etc. - Evidence of critical thinking - Application of course content
