For a research to conduct a study, he or she has to determine which research method would best answer the research questions. Not all the research methods are the same. There are main things that each method can do that the others cannot. That's what you are doing for this assignment. You are trying to decide which method would be best for a scenario. You want to explain the purpose, advantages, and disadvantages according to what is in the course textbook to support which research method you would use to study the chosen scenario. Chose one scenario only. Let's say you decide that the Descriptive method is the best choice. What would be the purpose of using a descriptive method for that scenario, for example? The answer being what is the main purpose of the descriptive method in general. What does the textbook say are the main purposes? What the textbook explains is what your answer should be and stated clearly that way in the table. Also, explain the advantage and disadvantage of the descriptive method according to what is listed in the textbook. List the advantages and disadvantages of the other two methods.
