Name of project : Health Information Exchange Each Group will investigate a topic and compile a presentation covering the topic based on the criteria below. Each Group will be expected to do the following: 1. Research and prepare coordinated presentation (15-20 slides) 2. Collaborate as frequently as needed to assign roles and prepare for presentation 3. Produce a high-level project plan with tasks, owners, progress made, and due dates 4. Utilize each group member in the presentation 5. Use appropriate presentation media (i.e. Powerpoint) 6. Provide presentation slides and bibliography via Blackboard 7. Constructively evaluate members’ performance in the group Each member should: 1. Contribute to planning, research, preparation, presentation 2. Be prepared to answer questions on any part of the presentation Presentation should include: 1. Introduction of topic, members, topics covered, why the content is important, etc. 2. Provide relevant and specific background information, definition of key concepts, impact to workflow, implementation process/challenges, support process/challenges after implementation, etc. 3. Review popular vendors and compare their product offerings. 4. A view of the future for the health information technology systems specific to your topic. 5. A conclusion of the key points of the presentation. 6. Name of group member(s) who prepared each slide. Evaluation Criteria Evaluation for grade 1. Clear and accurate definitions of concepts 2. Appropriateness of bibliography 3. Organization of presentation 4. Professionalism of presentation 5. Individual contribution to presentation
