Identify and provide an analysis of whether you think ourcurrent environmental health is better today versus those living 50 to 100 years ago. 4-5pages, 1,400words

Date Posted: 25/11/2020
Category: Geography
Due Date: 27/11/2020
Instruction
Background:The world has greatly changed from 100 and even 50 years ago. In many ways, we probably experience a greater quality of life and life expectancy than any other time in human history. However some argue that our highly industrialized lifestyles with its many technological advances and innovations have brought more harm than good with respect to our environmental health. Present an analysis incorporating as much course material that is relevant,as well as your own independent research,to identify where you stand on this debate.▪ Elements you might want to consider for inclusion: 1) are our exposures to harmful chemical substances greater presently than in the past? 2) are we exposed to more infectious diseases, or more virulent forms, today than in the past? 3) what policies are in place? 4) are there better policies to protect our environmental health in place or implemented than in the past? 5) do you feel safe? 6) are there more or fewer vulnerable populations today? 7) have we reduced inequitable risks and exposures to harmful environmental elements? As part of your analysis, identify major advancements that have improved your environmental health, or major areas for improvement to ensure a better environmental health outcome for our present and future generations. Include a clear thesis statement, properly cited sources using the APA format, and be free of spelling and grammatical errors.A first person perspective is encouraged since you are being asked to develop and present your own individual analysis of this situation. An excellent paper will demonstrate a solid grasp of the issues discussed in class, as well as a thorough understanding of the current environmental health situation through independent research and analysis of a variety of readings. It will integrate this material into an analysis of the issues, demonstrate awareness of the current situation surrounding environmental health, and include your own analysis whether you think we have made substantive advancements on this issue.
