The objective of this exercise is to familiarize students with different commercially available interventions and help them understand how they fit into the general types of interventions.

Instruction
Gather basic information about trendy (or formerly trendy) interventions. Some examples might include the following: ISO 9000 Theory Z Six Sigma Kaizen Lean Agile Knowledge management Quality circles One-Minute Management Reengineering Matrix management Core competency Use the intervention which you have selected as your "Subject." Present the basic information you collected in your "Message" to explain the intervention. Include at least two references (blogs, journal articles, news, etc.) in your explanation, and use APA formatting for in-text citations and your reference list. You may consider the following questions in your explanation: Do you believe this intervention is a fad? Why do you think that? What is the difference (if any) between OD and management fads? What skills or knowledge would someone need to identify a fad? How might you test these interventions to determine if they are actually effective?
