Objective: Using your own background and experience in education, reflect on a time where an educator may not have been effective or may have actually caused you to reject learning. Using a professional approach, you are to develop a narrative that can be used to provide feedback to an educator who may not have been helpful to you personally. Details: Think about a teacher you had at any time during your education who had a negative impact on your own sense of self-worth or created a negative learning environment, and using Lake’s An Indian Father’s Plea as a model, write a letter to that teacher. Specifically, professionally address how their actions or behaviors affected you later in your education. This is not about an emotional response, but more of an analysis of how this teacher/educator or instance had an impact on your learning or self-perception about you as a student or a person. Help this educator understand the effect of their action and provide them with a course of action to prevent similar harm in the future. Deliverables: The letter should be written as a formal letter that is about 2-pages, double-spaced, in 12-point font.
