In your readings this week, in the Northouse text, you reviewed the psychodynamic approach, which is based on assessments of the personalities of leaders and followers. Another method described in your text was the eight functions of leadership, measured by the Psychodynamic Approach Survey or MBTI (Meyers Briggs Type Inventory) tool. For this Discussion topic, you will review the instructions for the Psychodynamic Approach Survey at the end of Chapter 13, take the survey, and follow the recommendation to have someone else you know take the instrument and then compare results to your results. An idea to consider is choosing someone who works and acts in the same style that you think you do, and/or someone who is very different in behavior and style. You can choose a classmate, a co-worker or family member to complete the instrument, and/or more than one if you are interested in learning more about others.
