- THE GOVERNMENT OFFICIAL MUST BE A CANADIAN GOVERNEMENT OFFICIAL Write a letter to an appropriate government official and attempt to persuade them to support your cause. The letter is much more informal than your report as you can use personal pronouns. Your job will be to synthesize your information and summarize the main points into three paragraphs. You have a limit of 350 words so BE CONCISE. Put your name, the name of your school, and date in the top left corner. DO NOT share any personal information. Section 1 Introduce yourself, your reason for writing, and what you hope the outcome will be by writing to this official Section 2 Explain the importance of this issue as it relates to the government official Who are the official’s constituents?
