FURTHER INSTRUCTIONS
In part B you will basically use the authors to put together what you think the overall reasons are for Fascism, drawing from the theorists. You can bring in theorists and readings from the rest of the module here but I would think the focus would be on the theorists in the Fascism section.
In part C, pick one of those authors and say why you find them the most useful in understanding Fascism (if you like a particular combination of theorists you can say that also). You should give your own reasons why – but usually there will be some evidence (for example, the Nazis emphasised macho masculinity which supports Woolf’s arguments; or the Nazis grew in part because of unemployment and the financial crash in Germany which supports Polanyi; or only Robinson mentions how racism in Europe is linked to colonialism; and so on)
In part D, this is a chance for you to link your answer to the rest of the module – link your study of Fascism back to a key concept or concepts from the course as a whole (eg rationalisation, social integration, patriarchy, class conflict, social forms etc etc)
Please only quote from the following using ASA style : Mann, Michael (2004) Fascists; pp. 1-5, 13-17 (Essential reading)
