You are to write a position paper that details why you believe ELLs should or should not be subjected to standardized tests. You are to make your case as well as provide recommendations. You may NOT simply continue citing from the book over and over. You are to synthesize what you have read in regards to formal/informal assessment, concerns of language assessment, and the tools used to assess language, and make it your own.

This is a formal paper that must adhere to the following: you must use the Assessing ELLs Position Statement Paper template (click hyperlink to access) it must follow APA 7th Edition guidelines (see Module 1 for guidelines), it must be at least three content pages (not counting the title page and reference page) it must have a reference page, it does not need to include an abstract, it must include/address the following headings and subheadings (well developed paragraphs are 4-5 complete sentences): Introduction (1 paragraph) Synthesize Assessments (1 paragraph) formal assessments (minimum 1 paragraph) informal assessments (minimum 1 paragraph) Statement on Assessments concerns for language assessment (minimum 1 paragraph) tools used to assess language (minimum 1 paragraph) your opinion (minimum 1 paragraph) Recommendations how you believe ELLs should be tested (minimum 1 paragraph) Closing Remarks (minimum 1 paragraph) it must have a minimum of three references within the text, at least one from your textbook, at least one from the Internet, and at least one from a scholarly article found through the SFA library search engine (please ask
