Argue which character changes the most in the play, Romeo or Juliet and how that change affects the outcome of the play. ________________________________________ ❖ If you’d like to start working on your Argument Paper over the weekend here are a few things you could do to make your week of writing go smoothly. ➢ Once you have your topic, work on writing your thesis statement, that’s your CLAIM. Make sure it’s clear and concise so that when I read it in your Introduction Paragraph I will know exactly what it is you plan on convincing me in your paper. ➢ Think of 1 COUNTERCLAIM someone might have against your argument that you can refute. The refute is your REBUTTAL ➢ Come up with quotes or evidence from the play that you could possibly use in your paper and write them down. You may, if you wish, also use outside sources/evidence in your paper. Paper Requirements: 1. Centers around 1 Argument that you’re convincing me to agree with 2. Has 5 paragraphs - An introduction with the thesis statement in it Three body paragraphs, 2 with claims and evidence supporting and one with a counterargument or counterclaim and a rebuttal with evidence for the rebuttal. A conclusion paragraph 3. You type your paper in MLA format and the quotes used in the text are formatted correctly according to MLA format.
