In the lecture, I suggest that one of Rome's contributions to the human experience is that humans are Imperial people, best when in power relationships between conquering and conquered. Using information from the text, especially considering how Rome existed as a republic before an empire, and that their empire eventually failed, respond to this with your own judgment. Feel free to bring in any examples from any previous chapters. Responses should be at least 500 words.
