I NEED A ROUGH DRAFT FOR MY ENGLISH 104 CLASS BY 9 PM 4/30/2021. Instructions are included and my superhero's description is included. Argument: The main thrust of the paper is to create an argument which puts your hero in the context of today and uses stories which are in the news to explain how/why your character is relevant in 2021 and how/why representing this marginalized group is so important given what is happening in the world today. Why is this hero needed? So if you are watching the Derek Chauvin trial and feel that your hero needs to be a Black woman raising a teen son, and she is an empath who can touch other people and they can intensely feel other people's humanity, making them far less likely to treat others horribly. But the trade-off is she can also feel their hate and when she gets home she has to vomit it up so it doesn't sit in her too long. (I'm sure you can think of something better). You would need to argue why a character like this is needed. How representing a person like this with a power like this is significant and important and what impact her story might have. Your paper should be 5-6 pages and it should cite a minimum of three sources. The paper should include a Works Cited page.
