Instruction1. A cover Page with a title for your portfolio and all of the same MLA heading information you'd usually include, centered. 2. A Table of Contents listing the various pieces and written work contained in the portfolio, including revisions and the introduction, along with corresponding page numbers. 3. An Introduction, or Reflective Cover Letter: This should be a 1 -2 page letter explaining your process this semester, how you moved from reading and discussing a book with the class, to asking questions inspired by your reading, to conducting scholarly research to locate answers to that question, to organizing all of that new information into a cohesive argument. What was this process like for you? Were there twists and turns? Did you overcome any difficult obstacles in the process of writing these papers and performing this sustained research project? What did you learn from this process, about your topic and about yourself as a student, a thinker and a writer? What aspects of this project did you enjoy and which ones did you find challenging? Do you feel prepared to move into future classes and handle self-guided research and writing assignments? Etc. Reflect on your process, introduce your topic and research to your portfolio reader (in this case, me!). 4. Your Diagnostic Essay 5. Your Personal Narrative 6. Your Source Evaluation 7.
