InstructionJOURNAL ASSIGNMENT. Guidelines • Choose a public policy issue to discuss. • Date each entry; include time of day, and source for your entry. • Write in your most comfortable, informal style using Standard English. • Beginning the week of July 6 and ending July 27, 2021. Write three entries per week with two (2) being "Public Policy" with a "Texas focus" and one (1) can be a FREE-write on any topic of your choice. Write entries of at least 15 lines political biography. How do you describe yours • The first entry should be your political biography. • In what type of political activities are you or have you been involved? At the end of the semester, add a table of contents, introduction, and summary/conclusion. Finally, write an assessment of the class so that it may be useful to future students and me. • Observations about political events or political actors-- to include actions that could impact the political system. • Descriptions of political events or actions or cultural events and actions that may have some political significance • Responses and or questions about lectures, reading assignments, and class discussions cannot be used as journal articles. Notes taken in class cannot be used as an entry • Statements concerning your political awareness and connecting daily events to political science political and societal problems are acceptable. Proposed solutions to • One of the three entries per week may be an example of free writing whereby you choose what you wish to write about. Writing, for example, each journal entry must include: Title, Source, Date and your reaction to your selection. Write as a continuous file so that you can upload one “book-like” document. • Include cover page, your political statement, a bio and photo in your journal ( I will add my photo).
