Keep this in mind: There are three main types of torts: negligence, strict liability (product liability), and intentional torts. Conduct some research on the internet, the local news, or perhaps you have worked for a company that has been involved in a tort case. Look for a tort case where a company was sued for damages under tort law. (There are many!) In your original post, answer the following: Describe the tort case you located. Identify the type of tort: negligence, strict liability, or intentional. Describe the damages. What was the result of the tort case? If a result has not been determined, what do you think the result will be? Were damages be awarded or will they be awarded? As a business owner or manager, why is it important to train your employees on the basics of tort law?
