InstructionThe law of products liability is found mainly in common law (state judge-made law) and in the Uniform Commercial Code (UCC). In order to have some uniformity among states for product liability laws, the Uniform Commercial Code (UCC) was created. The UCC covers the sale of goods (leases, gifts, purchases) - sales transactions between buyers and sellers. Note: Goods are tangible products, such as a car, a computer, a boat, a hairdryer, etc. (Land is not a good, so the UCC does not cover real estate sales.) Assignment Instructions Conduct some research and locate a product liability case that has been determined and concluded. You can also use a product liability case from your textbook. In a 1-2 page report, respond to the points and questions below. Since you are using outside resources, cite your resources in APA format. You do not need a cover page, but you do need a References page. Identify the case. Summarize the relevant facts of the case. Was this product liability case based on negligence, breach of warranty, or strict product liability? What is the conclusion? How did or how might the conclusion of this case affect the company? Do you agree with the conclusion? Explain your opinion. If this product was manufactured overseas and imported, how might this situation complicate the case?
