The first assignment is on the Homelessness file that I uploaded. The second assignment is response to Writer/Designer with "Using the questions below." 1-How would you define multimodality based on your reading? What passages in the text help you come to this definition? 2-How does this definition of multimodality fit into your past experiences with learning about writing and communicating? 3-Are you satisfied with the New London Groups five modes of communication (linguistic, visual, aural, gestural, and spatial)? Are there any modes of communication that are not accounted for in these modes that you can think of? 4-What do the authors mean by media affordances? Why may affordances be an important consideration for your own research projects? 5-What multimodal composing have you done yourself in your creative or professional life? Where does ‘design’ matter for you? The third assignment is to take notes on Chapters 1 and 2 of Writer/Designer files.
